Craft day at Karla's

Just a quick post we attempted craft day. Needless to say the only thing I got done was cutting 2 pieces of paper and eating 3 plates of yummy food from the treat cabinet! :) Oh and watching Bethany play with the puppies.
Marilyn is so sweet she made Ford this quilt that he is sitting on. It was a great surprise because he only has 2 boy blankets the rest of them are pink! He doesn't seem to mind though! hehe
Karla and her sweet puppy. You should have heard the little bells jingling that the puppies were wearing. I need some for my kids!
Ford taking a snooze while we all craft away and eat. We're heading to the baseball game. Hubby got some fancy seats so I'm excited. Free food and drinks! Yippie momma doesn't have to cook :)

7 weeks old already!

WOW. Having two kiddos is a whole new experience. I've forgotten A LOT over the 5 years that I've had Bethany! Here are the two kiddos above. He's gotten so big. Of course right now he just eats, sleeps (some!), poops and well that's about it!
A few smiles here and there which are wonderful. Goodness look at those cheeks!
He loves his binky! Bethany never took to it and well maybe I've pushed it a bit more with him. He sure sucks on it and reminds us of Maggie from the Simpson's.
Here is Daddy's pride and joy. Cute story Corey met with some Google exec's and showed them Ford's picture. They all thought he was quite handsome!

Baby is asleep I must get some stuff done. More sometime soon. Enjoy Lisa :)

I'm a bit behind posting but our little guy arrived last week and is doing just great. Bethany is a great big sister and loves giving her brother kisses. :) More pictures soon. Momma's sleepy and has a baby to hold. Night.

Maternity pictures of me :)

My dear sweet friend Abby met me at the last moment to take some maternity pictures of me. I had wanted to do this but felt a bit weird doing it and at the last minute asked her for a huge favor. We met and found some wonderful fields and went about shooting and gossiping. The above shot she got is one of my favorites. (I just had to pretend to not freak on all the ticks we saw, ewwwww!)
Hubby used to play in a band and still plays his guitar. Although we have other fish to fry and have been busy with that. I love the little guitar shoes. :)
We did a few like this. :) The pregnant body is an amazing piece of work. I do have to brag that I don't have one single stretch mark. Along with most the women in my family. We just have good stretchy skin! haha

I'm excited to have these done since my due date is approaching. Thank you Abby for being such a great friend & a wonderful photographer. Make sure to check out her website, it's the watermark above. She is very talented!

Must go and get some things done before bedtime. Night!

Happy Birthday Dad!!!!!!!!

Of course blogger would upload the pictures in a different order then I wanted. Today is my Dad's birthday, Happy Birthday Dad! It's also my parent's anniversary so Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary!!! (Below is a cute picture of my Dad and Bethany!)

It's been a few days since I've blogged. So much to do, so little time. It's been a busy few weeks getting ready for the baby. Last week my dear friend Mindy had a baby shower for me. It was a small gathering and was really nice. Above is a picture of Bethany at the shower. (She just finally got her hair cut!) My Aunt from Lincoln came up for the shower and we just had a few close friends. I love small intimate gatherings, seems like you can chat better.
My belly is growing and growing and growing! Due date is approaching quickly. We're hoping the basement will be complete. We're so close, but still have a few things to do. Corey is wiped out so I think after the baby comes we'll be relaxing and focusing on the kiddos for awhile. I'm amazed at how my hubby can go. He is so determined to have everything done he usually doesn't end his day until way after midnight. Poor guy :( We need the space desperately so this Summer we can hibernate in our new basement. I'm so excited!!!!
We had a surprise party for a good friend Mike also this month. He was turning 40 so we pretended to have a "couple's baby shower" to lure him into the party. It was hilarious!!!! I had no idea I'd be also getting "showered" with gifts. We have quite the group of friends. Here are a few of us above. It was a fun party with great food.
For Easter (my baby shower was the day before) my Aunt and Uncle came to visit. So we got to all dye eggs for Easter. It was so fun. (Here you can see the new paint color in the kitchen!!!!!) It is the perfect color and matches all of our lighting and the pictures my parents got me a few years ago.
Happy Birthday Dad and Happy Anniversary to you and Nana! We look forward to seeing you when the baby is born!!! I better get back to the chores, we don't have a self cleaning house yet. :)

Craft day at Karla's

Vicki had sent Karla some crafty secrets shadow box die cut outs and some of their little creative scraps to play with on craft day. We all had fun making our little vintage pieces and Karla even had some goodies for us to play with. (You can click on the pictures to make them bigger.)
I used some Spanish moss, little pieces of crafty secrets, old vintage papers and some little keys. The angle isn't the best and I didn't have the fancy camera with me. It's covered in glitter and glimmer mist but it's hard to photograph that.
Karla added a wee little frozen Charlotte, and some vintage goodies along with some crafty secrets too.
Mary's creation. I love her images she used. Check out her blog and etsy if you get a chance. She has some beautiful images!!!
Marilyn had a birdy theme which was adorable. I wish I had gotten better pictures. The middle of her flowers are little tiny sparkly pieces.
Beth used purple and green and it just really turned out pretty! She added some millinery flowers and some crafty secrets too. If you look close you can see how we all used the cut out's differently.

We spent the day crafting and eating. Eating has been a big part of crafting now well it really always has been but since I've been pregnant the girls have let me try new recipes and set the theme. This time we had lasagna, bruchetta, mozzarella and cheese salad, cheese crisps and cheese spread and some homemade cherry pie. It was out of this world. (No pictures I was to hungry to take pictures before we ate.)

Hopefully we'll be able to have another craft day before baby comes. If not this boy is going to have to learn to like glitter :) oh and eating.

Make sure to go visit the girls blogs, if you google friend them they have some excellent giveaways! Back to laundry and nesting. :)
